4MPD vs 4MMC

4MPD and 4mmc are chemically quite similar, and both fall under the cathinones. However, 4MPD is often described as somewhat lighter in experience and effect than the more potent 4mmc. The energy boost and rush of 4MPD is therefore less intense than that of 4mmc, but lasts longer. 4mmc is sometimes compared to, for example, MDMA, while that comparison is less valid for the 4MPD. 4mmc is also a lot better known than 4MPD, because the latter is a relative newcomer in the world of research chemicals.

How does 4MPD work?

The 4MPD effect is caused by the research chemical boosting the release of dopamine and norepinephrine. This in turn causes the effects you experience after taking 4MPD. The central nervous system is stimulated, and you notice this both mentally and physically.

Effects of 4-MPD

When you take 4 MPD , you may physically experience the following effects:

• More energy, which makes you feel like dancing and can last longer at a party, for example
• Increased heart rate, blood pressure and perspiration (sweating)
• Narrowing of the blood vessels, which can lead to tingling or sometimes cold hands or feet
• Decreased appetite and sleep
• Tension on the jaws, for example

Mentally you can count on the following effects:

• Happiness and euphoria
• Feeling like talking, social openness and feelings of connection
• Clear focus and improved concentration
• Feelings of restlessness or nervousness, especially at high doses

Duration of effects

4MPD experiences from online

The duration of 4-MPD experiences varies from person to person, but when taken orally, the first effects are usually noticeable within half an hour. Nasally this can happen even faster and you can notice changes within 5-15 minutes. You will experience the peak of the experience after about 45 – 90 minutes, and after 2 to 4 hours the effects have more or less faded away. However, the after-effects may persist for a while longer, such as having difficulty falling asleep.

4MPD experiences from online trip reports

To really understand what 4 MPD experiences look like, Chem Dare researched the web. Here you will find trip reports on 4MPD from real users. To start, the following 4MPD experience of one researcher at Drugsforum:

“(…) very positive experience that I did not experience long after the ban of 3mmc. It feels a lot cleaner than any cathinone after the 3mmc ban. I have experience with more than 10 different cathinones after the ban of 3mmc. (..) So far very surprised in a positive way when it comes to cathinones.”

Risks and side effects of 4MPD

Unfortunately, experiences with 4 MPD are not always positive. In addition to the risk of addiction, negative side effects may also occur, such as narrowing of the veins, overload of the heart or feelings of anxiety and paranoia. You run an increased risk of such side effects, especially at high doses.

4MPD dosage guide

Unfortunately, not much is known from science about different doses and their effects. Therefore, we can only suggest a guideline based on the 4-MPD experiences and stories of other researchers:

Start your study with a light dose of no more than 10-30 mg. This way you can test your sensitivity to 4MPD and get acquainted with its light effects.
An average dose is between 30-60 mg 4-MPD. You can fully experience the effects, such as cheerfulness and energy.
A high dose is about 60-100 mg. This means that the effect of 4MPD will now be strongly present. The intensity of the RC is then at its highest, which also increases the risk of side effects.

How do you use 4mpd?

You can take 4MPD in different ways, so you can administer the RC nasally, orally or even through the veins. Nasal use (sniffing) is often done with 4MPD in powder form, while pellets or pills are of course better suited for oral use (swallowing). The intensity of the effects of 4MPD depends on the way you take the substance, where you can expect a stronger nasal but also shorter effect compared to oral intake.

4-MPD soon banned

Unfortunately, 4MPD will be introduced in the Netherlands in the foreseeable future prohibited under the Opium Act. 4MPD will then no longer be available as a research chemical, as is currently the case. There will therefore be no replacement or successor for 4MPD, because this time the entire group of cathinones will be banned when the new law comes into effect. 4MPD experiences from online
